Q: What is your role at Audicus, and when did you join the team?
I joined Audicus in January of 2024 as a B2B Account Executive to help launch our managed care vertical! I focus on driving new business growth by developing partnerships with business plans, PACE insurance programs, labor unions, and more.
Q: How did your career path lead you here?
My background is rooted in B2B sales within a corporate setting. I was approached on Linkedin and decided to take the call. I was won over by Audicus’s small company culture and the people behind it.
I vividly remember my interview with Patrick, and was struck by his passion and genuine care for the mission. Having a CEO like that was compelling, and I also was excited about the opportunity to launch a new vertical at the company.
Q: How do you start your day?
I’m an early riser. I love starting the day with a long walk with my dog, Luna. She’s a rescue – she can be easily described as a black golden retriever. It’s a great way to get some movement and some sunshine.
After that I make a cup of coffee, then catch up on emails and overlook what I have for the day and week. I’m in the pacific time zone, and it works well having Audicus be primarily in the east coast. I typically have meetings in the morning and can dedicate my afternoons to business development.
Q: What advice would you give someone who wants to start a career in B2B?
Be curious, listen more than you talk, and build genuine relationships. Sales isn’t just about the pitch, but understanding people's needs. Stay persistent – not every no you receive is final, and don’t be afraid to learn from rejection. Above all, bring your authentic self! People connect with real, honest conversations.
Q: What’s your favorite part of your job or something you’re really proud of accomplishing here? Project or a big win?
One of my favorite parts of the job is knowing that what we do truly makes a difference. I get a bit excited or fired up to talk about the gaps in the hearing industry. We place so much importance on dental and vision benefits, but hearing care gets overlooked despite the consequences of untreated hearing loss. Being able to educate others on why hearing health matters and offer something revolutionary to the industry is really exciting. I love being part of that change.
One of the biggest wins is breaking into the managed care vertical and getting contracts signed. This is a new space for Audicus, and I think there’s real opportunity for us to make a change.
Q: What do you enjoy doing outside of work? Any hobbies or passion projects?
I’m passionate about health and fitness. I love working out, whether that’s lifting weights, going to a HITT class, or hot yoga.
My fiance and I are very outdoorsy. We love camping, hiking, and finding new trails to go on.
That’s one of the reasons why we wanted to move to Arizona – to be in the mountains and have access to the west where there’s so many national parks. Some of the best ones we’ve been to are Glacier National Park and Zion National Park.
And I am originally from the South, so naturally, I’m a huge football fan!
Q: Fun fact?
I have 9 siblings, so I’m very well-versed in negotiation and patience.
